Olá! I’m Aida

Get to know more about Aida

With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology, my background bridges academic training and hands-on practice and a postgraduate in Art therapy. I’m certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mhGAP: Psychological Primary Care, and Feng Shui-based face reading. My training in Art Therapy and Community Art was completed at Metàfora in Spain, where I studied under a psychodynamic, relational approach. This foundation continues to shape the way I hold space for creative exploration. Over the years, I’ve facilitated art-based experiences in many different contexts, including hospitals, international expat circles, LGBTQIA+ communities, and outdoor mindful art sessions in nature.

Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, I create inclusive, welcoming spaces for people from all backgrounds. Whether you’re based in Lisbon or just visiting, I’d love to invite you to join me in a creative experience that’s fluid, freeing, and uniquely yours.

I love working with a range of materials like acrylics, watercolors, clay, collage, and mixed media, adapting each session to meet the moment and the people in the room.

Before stepping fully into this path, I spent over 13 years in the corporate world, which now informs my creative group mentoring and team-focused sessions. I enjoy blending my organizational experience with my creative practice to offer workshops that feel both grounded and expansive.

What to expect in a session

Every workshop is carefully crafted to take you from overthinking to open creation gently, and at your own pace.

  • Arrive & Ground: We begin with a guided mindfulness or visualisation practice to slow down and arrive fully in the present moment.
  • Create Freely: With gentle prompts and full creative freedom, you explore colour, texture, and form. Letting your intuition lead without judgment.
  • Reflect & Integrate: Aida guides a contemplative exercise to help you find meaning in your work and integrate the insights that arise.
  • Share & Connect: Optional sharing creates a powerful sense of community; many participants describe the group dynamic as the most healing part.
